Captain Paul Watson Has Fans Worldwide
It’s been confirmed that some of the guards, wherein Captain Watson is being detained, are asking for his autograph.
While I don’t condone or take pleasure in the good Captain’s arrest in Frankfurt, I would be lying if I didn’t say that it could not have come at a better time. With the rising popularity of Animal Planets hit series Whale Wars, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is already in the spotlight. The show is currently in mid-season with its hit “Viking Shores” and the fifth season of the Antarctica campaign is due to air on July 1st. People are tuning in, people who may not have done so otherwise.
Internet traffic records have been broken at CyberWhaleWarrior.com and people are asking about Sharkwater. It was this movie that documented the events that led to Paul Watson’s recent arrest by German police.
In short, by having Watson detained, the bad guys have started a domino effect that is raising awareness for the causes that Sea Shepherd fight for.
