Attiéké is an artisanal product made from grated cassava. It is a specialty of certain ethnic groups that live around the lagoons (Ebrié, Adjoukrou, Alladian, Avikam, Ahizi) in southern Côte d’Ivoire. It’s texture is similar to that of couscous and it is eaten along with a wide variety of local sauces. I will be sharing a recipe for kedjenou tomorrow which is an excellent companion for attiéké. You can find attiéké (either dehydrated or frozen) in African markets.
